Nicht nur Leute wie ich und Du bloggen, sondern auch NBA-Profis. Viele aufgrund mangelnder sprachlicher Fertigkeiten recht bescheiden, andere recht passabel. Chris Ballard von Sports Illustrated hat einen <feinen Artikel> über bloggende NBA-Profis geschrieben, in dem er zwei grandiose Beispiele bringt. Zum einen Baron Davis (Golden State Warriors):

“FTB, def glad you respect my gridn and the old skool style, ya dig. I may rock a design in the beard this year… Let me know what I should do. Lol. Before I bounce out the yard I just wanna say that all of yall who heard I can spit, I will lace you with some bars soon! But for now, its back to camp.”

Zum anderen Chris Kaman (LA Clippers):

“We were on the road for 10 days. We played San Antonio and lost. It was the first game we played well in a while. We played hard. It was a good thing and we were hoping it was going to carry over into the next game. We played Houston next in the back-to-back, and it did carry over. We played well against Houston …”

Gilbert Arenas, Point Guard der Washington Wizards, hingegen hat jetzt einen Preis gewonnen für das beste <”Celebrity Blog 2007″>. Unter seinem Spitznamen “Agent Zero” schreibt er für das gleichnamige Blog <”Agent Zero: The Blog File”> über Leben und Wirken als NBA-Profi.
Interessanter noch als Arenas Sieg aber ist, wen er bei seinem Sieg hauchdünn bezwungen hat: es ist <Wil Wheaton>, meistgehaßter Star-Trek-Darsteller aller Zeiten, ehemals <Wesley Crusher>. <Wheatons Blog> bleibt dem nerdigen Science- und Fiction-Topos treu. Nicht daß er uns nach zwanzig Jahren Wesley-Sein auf einmal sympathisch wird…
